Set aside your cherries and almonds and add all of your other ingredients to a bowl. Beat these ingredients together until they resemble a batter consistency.
Then fold in your cherries and almonds. They should be as evenly distributed as possible throughout the mix.
Preheat the oven to 180°C/ 160°C fan/ gas mark 4/ 350°F and bake for 30 mins.
Pop onto a cooling rack and allow to fully cool before slicing and serving.
